FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about what eSaveFrom does and doesn't do.

What is eSaveFrom?

eSaveFrom is a browser-based video and audio downloader that runs entirely in your browser tab. You paste a link, it lists the real formats the source offers, and the file transfers to your device — with no extension, no account, and nothing stored on our servers.

Is the name spelled eSaveFrom, e save from, or esavefrom?

The name is one word, spelled eSaveFrom, with a lowercase e and a capital S. People sometimes type it spaced as "e save from" or all lowercase as "esavefrom"; those all refer to this same site. The canonical spelling is eSaveFrom.

Do I need to install an extension or app?

No. eSaveFrom runs in your browser tab — there is no extension, desktop app, or account to set up. Paste a link and the page does the rest.

Do you store the videos I download?

No. Files transfer from the platform's own servers to your device. eSaveFrom does not upload, host, or cache your media, and it does not keep a history of the links you paste.

Is eSaveFrom free?

Yes. Downloading is free and requires no account, and there are no forced popups or interstitials. Every format shown in the results is available at no cost.

Which sites does eSaveFrom support?

eSaveFrom works with TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), Vimeo, SoundCloud, and Dailymotion. Each platform has its own page explaining exactly what you can save from it.

Can I download TikTok videos without the watermark?

Yes. For TikTok, eSaveFrom returns the clean MP4 without the moving on-screen watermark, and it can save the original audio separately. The clean and watermarked versions are different files, and eSaveFrom selects the clean one for you.

What video quality can I download?

Whatever the source platform actually provides. eSaveFrom lists the true available resolutions and never upscales — for many videos that means up to 1080p, and 4K only where the uploader supplied it.

Can I extract just the audio as MP3?

You can save the audio track on its own. A true MP3 requires transcoding, so where one can't be produced at the edge, eSaveFrom returns the source audio and labels its real format precisely — it will never call a file MP3 if it isn't one.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. eSaveFrom is a website, so it works in any modern mobile browser without an app. On some browsers a saved file lands in your Downloads folder or the Files app depending on your settings.

Why did my download fail?

The most common reasons are a private account, a deleted post, or a region-locked video — the platform simply won't return the media. eSaveFrom shows the specific reason so you know whether the link, the privacy setting, or your region is the cause.

Can I download private or age-restricted videos?

No. eSaveFrom can only fetch content the platform serves publicly. Private accounts, closed-group posts, and login-gated media cannot be accessed.

Is it legal to download videos?

It depends on the content and how you use it. Saving your own uploads, public-domain works, or Creative Commons material is generally fine; redistributing someone else's copyrighted video is not. You are responsible for having the right to save what you download.

Do you add a watermark of your own?

No. eSaveFrom never adds branding, overlays, or watermarks to your files. You get the media as the source platform serves it.

How do photo and slideshow posts work?

For TikTok photo and slideshow posts, eSaveFrom returns the individual images so you can save them one by one. There is no video rendition for an image post, and the results reflect that honestly.

Do you keep logs of what I download?

eSaveFrom does not tie downloads to your identity or store the links you paste. We keep only anonymous, aggregate operational metrics to monitor provider health, described in our Privacy page.

What happens if a platform changes and downloads break?

Platforms change their systems often, so eSaveFrom runs several resolver providers behind one interface and switches automatically when one degrades. The Status page shows current provider health so you can see issues as they happen.

Why choose a browser-based tool over an extension?

A browser-based tool needs no install, no permissions on your browsing, and no updates to maintain. You paste a link on a web page instead of granting an extension ongoing access to the sites you visit.

Is there a limit on how many videos I can save?

There are no artificial daily caps. To keep the service healthy for everyone, requests are rate-limited per user, and if you go too fast you'll briefly see a "too many requests" message before you can continue.

Who operates eSaveFrom?

eSaveFrom is operated by PT Netkarya Teknologi Indonesia, based in Surabaya, Indonesia. Details about the company and how to contact it are on the About page.

How do I report a video that infringes my rights?

Use the contact on our DMCA page to send a takedown notice. Because eSaveFrom does not host media, requests generally concern content on the source platform, and we explain the process and what to include.

Does eSaveFrom work in Indonesian?

Yes. The whole site is available in Indonesian under the /id/ path, with the same tools and pages. You can switch languages from the header on any page.

Paste a link and save it — no extension, no account.
